Fredrik is the Founder of Journeybee - The Partner Platform To Help You Manage, Track, And Scale Partnerships And Engage Internal GTM teams. He has taken the challenge to answer our 20 Truth Questions, For us to gain some insight, And learn the Truth about the person behind the venture.



My TRUTH Story:

1. INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON TO A CROWD OF 10,000+ PEOPLE?

Fredrik from Sweden spent the better part of the last decade building one of the largest and most successful partnership organizations in the world for Teamtailor, one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe.


He eventually left to create his own company to help others succeed with partnerships.


2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER?

A Truth Founder is somebody who creates a company with a clear vision and a mission that they can stand behind, not for the glory and fame but rather to solve something they care about.


3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?

I joined another startup at a very early stage as their 10th employee and was running a part of the business which felt like a business within the business.


But I always felt that I was limited in my freedom to create something great and wanted to get to a position where I alone was responsible for my development.


4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? I take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and to get my blood flowing for the day, then sit down with a cup of coffee and power through all of the tasks for the day.


5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? Don't waste your energy on things that are out of your control.


6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? Partnerships are a highly effective growth strategy if done correctly.


However, most companies fail to reach their full potential.


We're creating the software that helps companies succeed with partnerships.


7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?

I've spent the better part of a decade building a partnerships organisation from scratch and I know first hand how difficult it can be to succeed, what is required to succeed, and what's missing from the space.


I've been involved in taking a business with a similar offering from a different sector to market globally very successfully.


8. WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR VENTURE? ( START WITH: IMAGINE A WORLD... WHAT IF... WE WILL BE... )

WE WILL BE The Nr. 1 platform for all things partnerships and help companies worldwide succeed in turning partnerships into a powerhouse for growth.


9. ANSWER THESE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE - I BELIEVE... I DON'T BELIEVE... I Believe that remote work is here to stay.


I Believe leadership is the most important skill to master.


10. WHAT'S ONE DECISION YOU MADE AS A FOUNDER THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF YOUR JOURNEY? Bringing on a third Co-founder. We realized that we were lacking some key skill-sets that were going to be required for our long term success, And without that third Founder we wouldn't have succeeded with our venture.


11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? My personal success is prioritizing my relationships outside of work.


Being a Founder means you work a lot and it's easy to neglect the people around you.


As a Founder, it's been managing to convince my two Co-founders to start this business with me.


12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? That I don't get upset easily and always focus on seeing the positive in any situation.


13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?

I'd like to improve my physical health, but I haven't done it because I don't prioritize working out as much as I should.


14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?

Don't listen to criticism from people you wouldn't go to for advice.


15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 7 - I dont think I've made my truth story fully available to my community as well as I can and there are always going to be missing elements of the full story.


16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? Reed Hastings, The Co-founder of Netflix.


He's built some incredible companies with long lasting legacy and impact but has managed to not lose track of his relationship with his wife.


17. DESCRIBE YOUR VENTURE - ELEVATOR PITCH STYLE?

The Partner platform to help you manage, track, and scale partnerships and engage internal GTM teams.


18. WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT MISSION STATEMENT OR MESSAGE + MARKET FIT FOR YOUR VENTURE?

We help software companies break down silos to collaborate better with partners and track the effects of their partnerships more successfully.


19. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO TO UNWIND AFTER A LONG WORK DAY?

Something that forces me to focus on something else in the moment.


Either cooking a long dinner, playing a round of golf or a game of tennis.


20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU TREATED YOURSELF TO AND WHAT DID YOU CELEBRATE? A dinner at a nice restaurant with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary.
