Born in the heart of Shanghai, Fei's fascination with languages began as whispers amidst the city's bustling streets. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic vibes of Seoul, she channeled that energy into her early pursuits. Today, Fei isn't just another face in the crowd. She's a tech entrepreneur, the brain behind a invovative personalized language learning app. Yet, this is just a chapter in Fei's ongoing tale. With her unwavering spirit, she's on a mission to redefine how we perceive and translate visual content. 2. WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A TRUTH FOUNDER? A Truth Founder, in my view, embodies the concept of recognizing that their truth is not just a personal attribute, but a potent superpower that fuels their endeavors. This individual has wholeheartedly embraced the responsibility of establishing and guiding a venture or organization. At the core of their enterprise lies a crystal-clear personal truth story, a resolute "why," and a mission statement that serves as a lodestar, igniting a collective sense of purpose within their community.


3. WHAT EVENT OR EVENTS HAPPENED TO YOU THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A FOUNDER?

My journey towards becoming a founder was shaped by a tapestry of global trends, personal experiences, and intimate observations. The 2010 Expo in my hometown of Shanghai was my first profound encounter with the world's technological wonders. Seeing innovations from every corner of the world, gathered in one place, opened my eyes to the myriad possibilities the future held.


Fast forward to 2017, and I found myself amidst another transformative experience at a tech convention, centered on robotics. Observing the convergence of man and machine, and the potential for harmony between the two, further fueled my entrepreneurial spirit. The idea that we could enhance human potential through technology became an enduring inspiration.


But perhaps the most personal motivator was watching my father's entrepreneurial journey. I saw him embrace the highs and lows of wanting to establish his own venture. His repeated attempts, the resilience he displayed with each setback, and his unyielding spirit taught me that being a founder isn't just about success—it's about passion, perseverance, and the unrelenting desire to bring a vision to life.


Combining these real-life events with my observations on technology's rapid development, the fluctuations of the global economy, and the innate human quest for purpose, I felt a magnetic pull towards entrepreneurship. I wanted to create, to innovate, and most importantly, to build something that encapsulated the lessons from my past and the hopes for the future.


4. WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE & RITUAL? My morning routine is a blend of nourishment for both my body and mind. I begin each day with a calming morning tea, occasionally opting for coffee, accompanied by a selection of essential vitamins to kickstart my system. This ritual allows me a moment of reflection and preparation for the day ahead. Following this, I dedicate some time to expanding my linguistic horizons by learning a bit of German. This not only sharpens my mind but also keeps me connected to my goal of mastering German. The highlight of my morning routine is enjoying a hearty breakfast, with the serene backdrop of lush greenery as viewed from my living room window. This moment of quiet nature sets a positive and calm tone for the rest of my day.


5. WHAT MANTRA,QUOTE,LINE OR PHRASE DO YOU SAY OFTEN TO INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE YOURSELF? A line that deeply resonates with me and fuels my motivation is, 'In five years, you're gonna be 45 no matter what you do. So wouldn't you rather be 45 and a vet?' This quote serves as a powerful reminder that time waits for no one. Regardless of the choices we make, time will pass. Given that inevitability, I always think: why not use that time to pursue what I truly love and am passionate about?


6. WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR VENTURE? In today's globalized world, language should not be a hindrance to accessing information or connecting with diverse cultures. Our real-time on-screen translation app is more than just a tool; it's a bridge that narrows the divide between languages. By instantly translating visual content, it allows users to freely explore the vast digital landscape without feeling restricted by their linguistic knowledge. Imagine the vast resources, insights, and stories one can access when language is no longer a barrier.


7. WHY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONE TO MAKE YOUR VENTURE A SUCCESS?

Given my background in language studies, I don’t just see the linguistic challenges people face; I've lived them. This venture is deeply personal. My determination isn't just about business success; it's about addressing a problem I intimately understand. Every setback or challenge I encounter only fuels my drive further because I see this not just as a company, but as my own mark, my contribution to a society I care deeply about. It's this blend of personal experience and unwavering determination that I believe will guide our venture to success.

Initially, our direction was centered around encouraging individuals to learn a new language, rooted in the conventional approach of active education. However, after deep introspection and market analysis, I recognized a more pressing need. People today, in our fast-paced world, often seek immediate understanding rather than in-depth learning.


Hence, I decided to pivot our venture's focus from pushing individuals to learn a language to empowering them to instantly comprehend any language as and when they require it. This paradigm shift didn't just change our product; it fundamentally altered our mission and the impact we aimed to have in bridging communication gaps globally.


11. WHAT DO YOU REGARD AS YOUR GREATEST SUCCESS PERSONALLY & AS A FOUNDER? Personally, and as a Founder, my proudest success comes from the journey I embarked upon with just a budding idea. Many have ideas, but I chose to act on mine. That was the first significant step I made in my life. From there, I gathered like-minded individuals, forming a team that shared my vision and passion. Together, our dedication and hard work were acknowledged when we won a scholarship, which further cemented our direction and determination. However, the true testament to our success, in my eyes, isn't just these accomplishments, but our unwavering commitment to persevere amid uncertainties. Navigating through unknown terrains and persistently pushing forward, even when faced with challenges, truly embodies what I regard as my greatest achievement both personally and in my capacity as a Founder.


12. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHY? What I deeply appreciate and like most about myself is my daring attitude. It's not just about having a fearless spirit, but the innate drive to bring ideas to fruition. Instead of merely ruminating or over-planning, I have a propensity to take swift action on things I'm passionate about. This has often enabled me to seize opportunities that many might hesitate upon, and to learn from hands-on experiences. In essence, it's this blend of audacity and the agility to act promptly that has defined many of my achievements and adventures, and it's a trait I cherish immensely.


13. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN IMPROVE ABOUT YOURSELF, AND WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT BY NOW?

One area I believe I could better myself in is taking a moment to reflect before jumping into action. Historically, I've operated under the belief that over-analysis might hinder progress, so I've often been quick to act. While this immediacy has often led me to valuable, on-the-ground insights, it has sometimes steered me into preventable challenges. I've retained this approach primarily because I see the educational value in directly confronting and learning from mistakes. However, I'm coming to understand that merging quick action with a bit of foresight might be a more effective strategy in the long run.


14. WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED OR GIVEN, OR BOTH?

The best piece of advice I've ever received is: 'Do it right, or don't do it at all.' This has resonated deeply with me throughout my personal and professional journey. It serves as a reminder that whatever task or project I undertake should be approached with full commitment and attention to detail. It's not just about getting things done, but about executing them with precision and excellence.


15. ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 - 10 BEING THE BEST. HOW WELL DO YOU THINK YOU AND YOUR TRUTH STORY IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOUR COMMUNITY? ( WHY NOT 10? ) 7 -2: As a non-native English speaker, I sometimes find language to be a barrier to expressing myself completely. -1: I'm sharing my story from my unique perspective. It's inevitable that not everyone will grasp its full depth due to differences in cultural background, personal history, and other factors.


16. WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY? I admire anyone who thinks their life has been a success. To have a healthy attitude towards life, to live fully are the qualities I admire in every human being.
